So, I have a hair appt tonight. Every 6-7 weeks. :) I'm wondering what others do to pamper themselves. I used to run all the time. Ok, maybe that's not pampering. lol, but it was good for me. It was so much easier to just throw on some shoes and run out the door. I am determined to get out when it is a little cooler... and when my hip is feeling better. The Dr. wants me to go get it x-rayed and I just haven't had time yet. But I will.
This past year we've stayed in so much. Sometimes I have that feeling people used to tell me about... the one where I don't want to bug my single friends with no kids 'cause I have Lil M now... and I'm afraid that they won't want to hang out with us. Now, I do realize that's silly, 'cause they all love her. But it hasn't been a conscious thought until recently. And I'm not sure where it came from.
Another thing I've read about lately is about people going to the Library! What a concept. I think it is something Lil M and I could do and that wouldn't be too difficult... or time-consuming... might even be relaxing. So, I think I'll check it out soon.
I've been trying to de-clutter some more of the house. It is working... that's not a pampering thing, but it does make me feel better when I make progress. One thing I'd LOVE to have is someone come in and help me do a full-house cleaning... top to bottom. But doubt that'll happen. Now, THAT would be pampering!!! lol
So, give me some other ideas... :)
Peace.

I hope your hip is OK. I wonder if it could be caused by the hard chairs in our office? It's been causing me some pain right in my backside (yep, work is a pain in the butt .. LITERALLY!)
ReplyDeleteThese are a few of my favorite things to relax:
- get a monthly massage
- morning coffee or evening margarita sitting on the deck. Being outside even for just a few minutes improves my mood.
- nice hot baths right before bedtime
- do some "beading" to make a necklace or something. I do stuff that's simple and can be done in a couple of hours so it's fast gratification!
- stop & just snuggle with my cat Spenser. He's so sweet and I don't give him enough attention without being distracted by other stuff. Whenever I do though, I know we both feel happier.
