Weekend Update

Lil M had fun last night going trick or treating with Aiyee Mimi and Geempa (grandpa). I let her wear her costume all day yesterday and she really seemed to enjoy that, too.

I'm still having a rough time this weekend, but I guess I'll have to figure how to get over it at some point.

This is how 3 year olds party!!

We had a great time Saturday with friends and family. Lil M was adorable in her new dress and shoes. And all the kiddos seemed to have a blast. :) Her friends MK2, Becky and Kate were there. As was Chase. They got to color if they wanted to when they got there, then hang out a bit and have snacks.


Then we opened presents (thank you everyone SO much for all the fun, great things!! wow!)... and they played some more.

And more presents!! :)
Then we had cake! :) And all was well!! ...yum. The cake turned out perfect. Thank you, Scott for picking it up for us, and for being there. I know we didn't get a pic of Scott, but he was there (hiding in the background, lol) and he and Lil M are going to have BIG fun playing with the new tent he got her!!!

Meds

I've had some not-so-pleasant side-effects from the medicine that the Dr. prescribed, so I called them today to see if I should continue or change to a new med. Let's see what they say.

The pics are of Lil M on mine and Sis' birthday at the restaurant. :) There's an outdoor patio she loves and Sis took a few pics of her! Mindy and Scott both took her out there and she didn't want to come back in! I convinced her to come back in for dessert though. LOL

Circus - Sunday

Ok, now that's been said... our women's Gymnastics team RULES!!! :) Woohoo! Gold and Silver, babie!!!!!

I just read an article where a Swede won Bronze in Wrestling... only then to THROW IT ON THE FLOOR because he was upset at the outcome. OMG. Show some respect. I mean, seriously. These are the top athletes in the WORLD and this guy gets pissy over the outcome? OK, I get that he was upset about their judging. But save that for private. Not the podium.

'Nough said.

Anyway, I didn't actually stay up and watch the gymnastics last night, but hopefully, my DVD-R got it!! :) I've been taping parts of the Olympics for Lil M.

Oh, and last night, we had our FINAL adoption agency visit!!! It went well. The lady, Amy, was super nice. They all have been. Whew. That's all over. :) She asked how much Lil M weighs... looks like about 24.6 - 25 lbs (according to an online chart, she's still in the 40th percentile, where's she's been all along!). She's also approximately 31.5" tall now! WOW. She's gettin' so BIG! :) I need to get her 2 year Dr. appt scheduled. Let's see how accurate Mommy was at home! haha.

two 'two word' sentences so far... "More Juice" and "Where go?" (as in, where'd he/she go? - as she raises her hands as a question too! lol)

She also likes to mimic Mommy. She likes to put on her makeup (pretend, of course), comb her hair, and brush her teeth. She pretended to dry her hair with the hairdryer this morning, even! She can wipe her face and nose with a tissue. She can feed herself with a spoon or fork. She can walk, run, walk up stairs holding on to the railing... she likes to push/throw a ball, color with crayons and color on the back porch with chalk!

Christmas vacation, 16 mo

We've been on vacation this week. Lil M has also been teething. Oi. She's doing well, but was definitely cranky today. You know, regardless, she is just an angel. I just love it when she giggles and laughes...and when she knows she's done something I don't like and tries to correct it before I get upset. What a girl!!! For example, tonight she found a tiny little christmas tree piece on the floor... instead of putting into her mouth and freaking me out, she brought it over to me to throw away! Amazing. :) I just love her so much.

I thought I should finally try to share some videos of her, so, here is a short one from when we were in China of her and Aiyee Mimi. :) I hope it turns out ok!!!

Oh, Lil M is 16 months old today!! She was likely exactly 10 months old when this video was taken. My how time flies!!! Lots and lots of love, babykins.
